TELEPHONE MUSEUM INFORMATION

Alder Grove Telephone Museum
Telephones: Antique to Modern
On display: telephone switchboards, old telephones, 
glass and porcelain insulators, telegraph equipment,
and telephone repair tools. 

Details: Located at 3190 - 271st Street, Aldergrove.
 Winter hours: Tuesday - Friday from 10 am to 3 pm,
Summer hours: Thursday to Sunday from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm.
 Admission by donation.

Canada's largest telephone museum. 
Featuring  the evolution of the telephone
in Edmonton from 1885 to the present.

The Telephone Historical Centre opened to the public in 1987.
This Telephone Museum and Science Centre
 is the largest of its type in North America.
Much more than a collection of antique phones,
the focus at the Telephone Historical Centre
 is fun and learning through sound, touch, hearing and doing.
 A special highlight is the multi-media presentation
 featuring Xeldon, the talking robot.
 A multi-media presentation provides a detailed look
 at the history of telephones in Edmonton
 and the history of Edmonton itself.
